Timor-Leste's reputation as an unspoiled marine environment is undoubtedly true. DTL's people too were most friendly and helpful guides to appreciating what is possible. If you are hesitating about a visit, don't.

A really beautiful experience! Thanks to Carlos and Marianne for teaching me the basics. I will certainly be recommending DTL to any would-be divers. Thank you

Thank you Maryann and Dive Timor Lorosae for an incredible diving experience! I won't soon forget the rhinopia, sea horse and pipe horse, clown snake eel and many leaf fish among others that I saw in just three days of diving. I'll definitely need to come back to catch the dugong! East Timor is definitely a great and safe place to dive and I'm glad I got there before too many more people discover it. Thanks again.

We had what has to have been one of the most amazing experiences of our lives whilst in ET. 20+ mins with a playful Dugong was beyond our wildest dreams.

You can guarantee we'll be back soon.

Thanks

Hi,
we are divers from P.R. China, would you please advise when is the best season to dive in East Timor? Thanks

we had a (too) short but nice time diving with Martin in the Dili Rock. For me it was the first time diving and Martin`s patience and competence with safety issues really added to the wonderful, but at first awckward underwater experience.
Now I just want to repeat...

We really had a great time diving with you guys. Your knowledge of the area and extra effort to help us to better understand the area was appreciated. We also both liked the attention to details you took with the saftey checks. We felt safe and and had a freat time.

In the words of Douglas Adams, "So long, and thanks for all the fish!" I look forward to the next Mercy Mission and diving Timor.

You guys are awesome! Especially Marianne and Martin and your cowbell! I doubled my dive experience with you in Timor and became enthralled with the tropics as I was exposed to an underwater wonderland! Dam shame I had to leave early and hope to return for more adventures in the future. Thanks heaps!

I thank Mark and Dive Timor Lorosae staff for the fantastic experience with the course of Discover Scuba Diving that I realized last April 27. It was really safety and I’m lucky that was in a so beautiful place like this new country (East Timor).
Till next time!
Luciano Barbosa de Lima.

Thinking about coming to Dili for diving? Go ahead, its the best thing you can do... I took a detour from West-Timor, out of curiosity. A lot of websites warn of coming to East timor, but it was the best thing i could do. The country is safe, even after the last rebel activities, and the diving is superb. I have dived all over the Caribbean and the South Pacific, and this is one of the best spots i have found. Not for big fish, but for lots and lots of colorful soft corals and small marine life. The great staff at Dive Lorosae was able to take us to places where it was pretty much guaranteed to see seahorses, frogfish, lionfish etc. and yes, i saw all of it, but still remained most impressed by all the colorful, intact soft coral... and since there are no tourists at all in East Timor, the dive sites are all completely empty and unspoilt!

My best greetings to Mark, Brent and the rest of the staff at Dive Lorosae. I hope i can came back one day...

Michael (Germany)

I came to Dili for a short stay and on a low budget, and initially didn't plan to dive this visit... Am I glad I changed my mind? You bet, you! OK, so it wasn't the best time of the year with regard to visibility... Who cares? I had great diving anyway, and can hardly wait to get back - this time hopefully with a camera that actually works. So, what was so special? Apart from abundant marine life and dive sites not yet damaged by human activity, I was diving with staff that knew exactly where all the cool and special "fish mates" as well as their friends and enemies were living. I had absolutely great diving! Thanks Volker, Mark & Martin - will definitely come back for more great diving, hopefully soon!

Hi Guys, well... I didn`t need to listen to davids briefing as the photo can tell about him ,so I decided to call him David Nemo as he really looks like clown fish in this photo.lol:)
